Shane has extensive experience in the fruit and vegetable industry, holding the position of Chairman since 2006. He currently jointly owns and operates Produce Time P/L a wholesaling business in the Melbourne Markets as well as being President of Fresh State Limited.
Hamish has been involved with the fruit and vegetable industry for over 20 years and has been an Executive Director of Montague since 2004. He has held directorships on various industry bodies and is currently a Director of Brismark, private companies and is General Manager of Montague Fresh (Queensland) a leading wholesaling business in Brisbane Markets.
Andrew has a history of employment at a senior management level with extensive experience in policy formulation, service development and industry representation and is currently CEO of Brismark, and CEO of Brisbane Markets Limited. His industry experience includes engaging with the relevant agencies within State and Federal Government and addressing national issues through both FMA and CMAA. His industry knowledge includes extensive research on Central Markets in Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA.
Rod has recently been appointed CEO of the Chamber of Fruit & Vegetable WA. He has a history in senior finance management roles, most recently as the Manager Finance & Administration with the Perth Market Authority, the Market City owners for 5 years. Rod is looking forward to the challenges ahead which include Perth Market’s transition to Industry Based Ownership.
George has over 20 years employment in the fruit and vegetable wholesaler industry. He is the General Manager of SA Chamber of Fruit and Vegetables and SA Produce Credit Pty Ltd and also a director of Market Fresh SA Pty Ltd.
While relatively new to the fruit and vegetable industry, Jason joined us with a wealth of knowledge and experience from spending over 25 years in senior roles in other industry sectors including Telecommunication and Leisure and Entertainment. He is currently the CEO of Fresh State Limited.
James is the CEO of the NSW Chamber of Fruit & Vegetable Industries. He has extensive agribusiness experience in stakeholder relations, business development, product marketing & R&D investment with organisations including the Australian Egg Corporation Limited where he was Managing Director. He held senior executive roles with Horticulture Australia Limited (the former Australian Horticultural Corporation), Meat & Livestock Australia (the former Australian Meat & Livestock Corporation) and the former NSW Meat Industry Authority where he was responsible for implementing marketing, communication, R&D, operations and investor relations programs.
Trish has significant experience in the wholesaling of fresh produce and has been General Manager of Australian Produce Brokers a leading fruit and vegetable wholesaling business in Perth Markets for 19 years. A qualified accountant, she has been the President of The Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Industries in Western Australia since 2011 and Director of FPAA Credit Service Pty Ltd and the Australian Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Industries since 2002. Trish has sat on numerous industry committees including reviews of the Perth Market Act and the Mandatory Horticulture Code.
John is a fifth generation fruit and produce wholesaler representing a family contribution to the industry of over 135 years continuous service by his company, T Garrett & Sons. John, personally, has over 35 years’ experience in the industry and is President and Director of Newcastle Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Industries. He is also a Director of Newcastle City Markets.
Mark has been a board member of the SA Chamber since 2009 and was recently appointed President.
He has been involved in the Fruit & Vegetable industry for over 35 years and is also the owner/operator of M & C Fruit & Veg Supplies.
Executive Officer/Company Secretary
Gail is a CPA with over 20 years’ experience operating within executive management teams in multidisciplinary corporate positions. She is General Manager of Brismark and company secretary for various companies.
Director and Head of Operations at Akropol. Harry is a second generation fruit and vegetable wholesaler with over 25 years in-market experience and a near 50-year family contribution to the industry. Member of the Market Industry Committee (MIC) for over 10 years serving for the NSW Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Industries, a current Freshmark Committee member and representative for Freshmark on a national level, Harry is committed to promoting and growing the Australian fresh produce industry.
