reappoints Directors

Peak industry body, Fresh Markets Australia (FMA) appointed Directors at their Annual General Meeting on 24 November and re-elected Shane Schnitzler unopposed as Chair. Freshmark CEO, Meegan George joins the re-appointed FMA Directors.

“We have a great board with Directors from around the country who are leaders in the wholesale sector and the industry more widely. I welcome newly appointed Director Meegan George who will join our experienced and respected board” says Shane Schnitzler, FMA Chair.

FMA has a representative board of ten, with two directors appointed from each of the state fruit and vegetable wholesaler representative bodies Brismark, Freshmark, Fresh State, SA Chamber of Fruit and Vegetables Inc. and Market West.

“As a Board, we will continue to challenge ourselves to be active, strong and strategic to deliver great outcomes for industry. I want to encourage the industry to keep engaging with us to ensure the next year is even better than our last”.

“FMA highlights its ongoing relationship with Toyota Material Handling and the building strong collaboration with market owners/operators”.
